






In terms of capacity, according to incomplete statistics, the domestic alkaline electrolyzer market maintained a capacity of 43.77 GW, with no new capacity added temporarily.
This week's delivery situation:
Accelera, a subsidiary of Cummins, delivered a 35-megawatt (MW) proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysis system to Linde Group's green hydrogen plant under construction in Niagara Falls, New York.
The 10 Nm³/h hydrogen production equipment and 10 kW fuel cell combined heat and power system delivered by H2Prosperity to Morocco's Clean Hydrogen Excellence Center have been successfully shipped.
Previous delivery situations:
The 50 MW electrolyzer equipment, consisting of ten 1000 Nm³/h units, completed by CSIC (Handan) Perry Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the 718th Research Institute of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, finished its final transportation and loading work and was officially shipped from Lianyungang Port to Piraeus Port, Greece.
The 10,000 Nm³/h electrolyzer, which was won by Sany Hydrogen Energy in the bid for the Shenzhen Energy Otog Banner Wind and Solar Power Hydrogen Production Integrated Green Ammonia Project, has been smoothly shipped.
The 13 sets of 1000 Nm³/h electrolyzers independently developed by CRRC Zhuzhou Institute Co., Ltd. have been officially shipped and will be successively delivered to the Guohua Cangzhou "Green Port Hydrogen City" project.
The 50 Nm³ water electrolysis products supplied by H2Prosperity for Malaysia's State Grid Corporation of China TNB-PCSS Green Hydrogen Demonstration Project have been smoothly shipped to Shanghai Port.
Wenshi Hydrogen Energy's AEM hydrogen production system has been successfully shipped to Austria.
The MW-scale hydrogen production system developed and produced by Hydrogen E-Tech has been shipped and will be used in domestic large-scale energy enterprises' hydrogen production-related projects.
Shanghai Hydrogen Era Technology Co., Ltd. delivered four 1050 Nm³/h electrolyzers to the China Energy Engineering Group Songyuan Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park Project.
China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (Yangzhou) Hydrogen Production Equipment Co., Ltd. successfully delivered a complete set of 1000 Nm³/h alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment, including a 1000 Nm³/h electrolyzer, separation skid, purification skid, and water-alkali tank, among other supporting equipment. The delivery destination has not been obtained yet.
As of August 14, 2025, domestic enterprises (including overseas deliveries) delivered a total of 365.85 MW of alkaline electrolyzers in Q2 (all data are sourced from public data and SMM survey).
Updates on electrolyzer projects:
1. The tender announcement released by Sinopec Materials and Equipment Department (International Business Company) for the Zhongtian Hechuang Ordos Coal Chemical Project's water electrolyzer/alkaline electrolytic hydrogen production with a capacity range of 1000-1500 Nm³/h indicates that the bidder's performance requirements have been revised compared to previous standards.
2. Chengde Yujing New Energy Co., Ltd. issued a pre-bid winning announcement for its green hydrogen project, the Weichang Daxigou Wind Power Hydrogen Production Project, located in Laowopu Township, Weichang Manchu and Mongolian Autonomous County, Chengde City, Hebei Province. The total investment is approximately 724 million yuan, with the second tender for the PC contracting of the hydrogen production section amounting to 34.1365 million yuan. Hydrogen production system: The planned total capacity is a 10 MW alkaline electrolysis water (ALK) hydrogen production system, with the first phase constructing 2 MW and reserving 8 MW for expansion, producing approximately 1,800 mt of green hydrogen annually. Supporting facilities: Construction of a 35 kV power transmission line, off-site roads, and the hydrogen production station site, adopting a "turnkey" PC contracting model covering the entire process engineering.
3. China Coal Longhua Company, China Shipbuilding Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Jixian County People's Government, and Shuangyashan Hongzhan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. officially signed the agreement for theJixian Wind Storage Hydrogen Methanol Integration Projectin Jixian County, Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province on September 3, 2025, with a total investment of 6.1 billion yuan. It aims to create the first demonstration project in north-east China for coupling green methanol production through "green electricity hydrogen production + biological CO₂ capture," forming a closed-loop entire industry chain of "wind and solar power, energy storage, hydrogen, and methanol."
4. China Coal Pingshuo Group Co., Ltd. promoted the tender for engineering supervision services of the first phase of thePingshuo Coal Mining Subsidence Area 600,000 kW Off-Grid Renewable Energy Hydrogen Production Project (Green Hydrogen Coupling Coal Chemical Section)in Pinglu Economic and Technological Development Zone, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province. Hydrogen production system: Utilizing alkaline electrolysis water (ALK) technology, equipped with 12 units of 1200 Nm³/h and 1 unit of 1500 Nm³/h electrolyzers, supported by 3 sets of 4800 Nm³/h gas-liquid separation devices and a hydrogen drying system, producing 31.19 million Nm³ of green hydrogen annually (approximately 2,800 mt). Coal chemical coupling: Green hydrogen is directly injected into a 2.2 million mt/year coal-to-methanol plant, replacing 30% of the gray hydrogen in the original process, while supporting the construction of high-end chemical production lines including an 800,000 mt/year methanol-to-olefins unit, a 400,000 mt/year polyethylene unit, and a 200,000 mt/year polypropylene unit, forming a dual-drive model of "green hydrogen decarbonization + high-end materials." Energy storage support: Planning to build a 10 MW/20 MWh energy storage system to mitigate power fluctuations and ensure stable operation of electrolyzers during intermittent periods of PV power generation.
5. Mingyang Tibet New Energy Co., Ltd. signed the agreement for theHigh-Altitude "Jupiter II" Pure Hydrogen Gas Turbine "Wind-Hydrogen-Storage-Combustion" Integrated Hydrogen Energy Storage Demonstration Projectin Shenzha County, Nagqu City, Tibet. Hydrogen production unit: Utilizing alkaline electrolysis water (ALK) technology, equipped with 2 units of 1500 Nm³/h electrolyzers (Mingyang's largest monomer equipment globally), producing approximately 12,000 mt of green hydrogen annually, meeting the hydrogen demand for 3,000 hours of annual turbine operation.
6. Xinjiang Junrui Hongxiang Energy Technology Co., Ltd. completed the second tender for the entire process project management and supervision section of theLarge-Scale New Energy Green Hydrogen Production Project(30,000 mt/year) in Fukang City, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. The first place was awarded to Huachun Construction Project Management Co., Ltd., with a bid price of 82,957,980 yuan. The project includes 53 sets of electrolyzers equipped with an intelligent dynamic regulation system, capable of stable operation within a 20%-100% load range, adapting to the volatility of wind and solar power generation.
7. Zhongrong New Energy Co., Ltd.'sannual production of 1.8 million mt of fine chemicals and 4,000 mt of battery fuel hydrogen multi-generation projectin the West Chemical Industrial Park of Kekedala Economic Development Zone, Xinjiang, has entered the prequalification stage for the hydrogen production unit. Main products include a 600,000 mt/year acetic acid production line (using carbonyl synthesis process, purity ≥99.8%), and a 400,000 mt/year ethanol co-production 800,000 mt/year ethyl acetate production line (combining fermentation and transesterification processes). Hydrogen energy products include 4,000 mt/year battery fuel hydrogen (purity ≥99.97%, compliant with GB/T 37244-2018 standard), accompanied by the construction of a hydrogen refueling station with a daily processing capacity of 2 mt, capable of meeting the daily hydrogen refueling demand of 200 hydrogen-powered heavy trucks.
8. Yalong River Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. issued a public tender announcement (third call) for theSpecial Development Plan for Hydrogen Energy in the Yalong River Basin During the 15th Five-Year Plan Period. Requirements: based on current development trends, basin characteristics, and the actual situation of Yalong River Hydropower Development Co., Ltd., conduct research on hydrogen energy industry and technology development to formulate a scientific and reasonable hydrogen energy development plan for the 15th Five-Year Plan period for the Yalong River Basin, clarify development goals, key areas, and implementation paths, optimize resource allocation, enhance technological innovation capabilities, and provide strategic guidance for the company's future hydrogen energy business development.
9. TheHydrogen Energy Empirical Test Platform No. 2 Test Site Projectproposed by National Energy Group Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has been filed for record. According to the project announcement, the Hydrogen Energy Empirical Test Platform No. 2 Test Site Project is located in Ordos City—Ordos Airport Logistics Park—east of the upstream line of Central Ecological Avenue, south of Latitude 17th Road, west of South Jing 3rd Road, and north of Latitude 16th Road in the Airport Logistics Park.
